Supporting a turnaround after a time of unpredictability
With a rich and creamy taste, Sacred Serve makes the world’s first plant-based gelato – a scoopable treat that recognizes the powerful connection between diet and disease.
Founder Kailey Donewald built her business around the understanding that the right nutrients at the right density can support a body’s innate ability to heal. However, unlike human anatomy, business growth challenges do not often solve themselves. That’s why Kailey turned to Aperture CPG in 2022 to create a more sustainable and healthy operations model.
“Jamie came on at a time when our company needed an organizational overhaul,” says Kailey.
“Jamie was super responsive to the areas we needed the most help and did a great job re-building key parts of the team, taking a deep dive into our financials, and dictating our strategy going forward.”

Creating value through evaluating, recommending, and problem-solving
Using his outside perspective and deep experience, as a Fractional CEO Jamie stepped in and did a complete evaluation of financials and business viability. He then provided tangible recommendations regarding areas in which to concentrate improvement efforts and build greater efficiency.
After unexpected projection fluctuations, Jamie’s relationship-building with vendors was an essential component in creating a sustainable plan to move forward positively.
From vendor and supplier management to layered negotiations of both Whole Foods and UNFI, Jamie’s efforts and leadership presence helped Sacred Serve get placed into more stores, with more SKUs on the shelf. In other words, definitive growth momentum is now happening.
“Jamie has been exceptional at building and managing supplier relationships which have driven a ton of value for us as a small brand.”
